About Us

Our names are Kalli and Magga, and we are the owners of Nest Guesthouse. We have been working in tourism since 2009 when we opened Álfacafé and restaurant in Borgarfjörður eystri.
In 2011 we bougt a house in the nice village Raufarhöfn, which once was the office of The Icelandic State Herring Oil and Meal Factories. There we opened Nest Guesthouse in 2013.

We welcome you to the Edge of the Arctic, and whish you a pleasant stay.

Álfacafé is placed in the village of Bakkagerði in Borgarfjörður eystri on the east coast of Iceland.

We are a friendly café, restaurant, bar and a souvenirshop, selling local arifacts made from stones and materials found in our close environment. 
Álfacafé is next to the local fish factory and that´s where we get fresh fish for our dishes.
